Project & task management
Kanban board with drag-and-drop, sprints with burndown charts, task dependencies, estimates, labels and comments — connected to the people data you already have.
Work tracked in group chats has no owner, no deadline and no memory. Standalone PM tools fix that but know nothing about your people, leave calendars or clients.
Zaffre Axon’s project module gives teams a real board — statuses, sprints, dependencies, burndown — inside the same suite that already knows every employee, manager and client.
Projects carry leads, members, clients, priorities and attachments; sprints group work into time-boxed windows; tasks hold assignees, dates, estimates, labels, dependencies, comments and attachments. The kanban board shows it all as columns from backlog to done, filterable by project, sprint, assignee and text.
The board is honest about completion. Dependencies block a task from entering Done while any prerequisite is open, completion timestamps are stamped server-side, and the sprint burndown draws the actual remaining-work line from those timestamps against the ideal. Slippage shows mid-sprint, when it can still be corrected.
Because it is part of Zaffre Axon, the module starts with your organisation already inside: assignees come from the employee directory, tasks appear in assignees’ calendars, clients link to the CRM, and daily summaries keep managers out of status meetings.
Built-in safeguards against fake attendance
Drag-and-drop board
Six-column kanban from backlog to done. Moving a card changes its status instantly, with optimistic updates and permission checks.
Dependencies that mean it
A task with open dependencies refuses to enter Done — on the board and in the editor — so "finished" cannot get ahead of reality.
Sprint burndown
Sprints chart ideal versus actual remaining work, weighted by estimates, from real completion timestamps.
Estimates, labels, watchers
Size work in hours, group it with labels, and keep stakeholders informed as watchers — all filterable on the board.
Notifications built in
Assignment and updates notify through the suite’s own channels, including actionable cards in the team chat.
How it works
- 1
Create the project
Set leads, members, client and priority; attach the documents that matter.
- 2
Plan the sprint
Time-box work into sprints; size tasks with hour estimates and labels.
- 3
Work the board
The team drags cards across statuses; dependencies gate Done.
- 4
Watch the burndown
Ideal vs actual remaining work per sprint, computed from real completions.
- 5
Review and repeat
Completed sprints keep their history for retros and estimates for planning.
Frequently asked questions
- Does it have a kanban board with drag and drop?
- Yes — a six-column board (backlog, to do, in progress, review, on hold, done) with native drag-and-drop, filters and card details like priority, labels, due dates, estimates and assignees.
- Can tasks depend on other tasks?
- Yes, and the dependency is enforced: a task cannot be completed while its dependencies are open, whether moved on the board or edited directly.
- Is there sprint reporting?
- Each sprint has a burndown chart of ideal versus actual remaining work, weighted by task estimates and driven by real completion timestamps.
- How do assignees find out about new tasks?
- Assignment triggers in-app notifications and an actionable card in the built-in team chat; due-dated tasks can appear on the assignee’s calendar.
- Can large task lists stay fast?
- Yes — task lists support server-side pagination and filtered queries, so boards and lists stay responsive as history grows.
