Companies with attendance terminals on the wall should not have to abandon them to modernise. Zaffre HRM registers biometric devices per location and syncs their punches into the same attendance engine that processes mobile and web check-ins.
Once inside, a device punch is just another verified check-in: it evaluates against the employee’s shift, generates the same flags, and lands in the same attendance sheet and payslip. Mixed environments — terminals at the factory gate, mobile for field staff, web for office — reconcile into one record per person per day.
Device management stays in the same admin: which devices exist, where they are, and which employees map to which device identities.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we keep using our existing attendance machines?
- Yes — that is the point of the integration. Devices register in the system, and their punches join the same attendance pipeline as app check-ins.
- What happens if someone punches the machine AND the app?
- Punches reconcile into one attendance record per employee per day; the engine takes the effective check-in/out and flags against the shift as usual.
- Do device punches get the anti-fraud guards too?
- A biometric terminal is itself the verification. The engine treats device punches as verified and still applies shift, grace and break rules identically.
