Building the tiers
Most organisations need at least three overtime bands. A clear configuration assigns each band its own rate and the conditions under which it applies, so the system knows which multiplier to use for any given overtime hour.
- Standard weekday overtime at your base multiplier.
- Weekend or rest-day overtime at an enhanced rate.
- Public-holiday overtime at the highest configured multiplier.
- Optional caps so overtime cannot exceed a monthly or weekly limit.
From clock-out to payslip
Tiered rules only help if they connect to real attendance. The hours an employee actually worked beyond schedule should determine the overtime, not a manually typed figure. When overtime is derived from approved attendance and matched to the right tier, the payslip line is accurate by construction.
