Group your training into categories — Compliance, Onboarding, Sales, Safety, anything your organisation runs — and publish courses with a difficulty level, an assigned instructor, tags, a cover image and an estimated duration. Courses stay in draft until you publish them, so you can build content without exposing half-finished material to staff.
Build lessons in the format that fits the content
Each course is made of ordered lessons, grouped into sections or chapters so longer programmes stay easy to navigate. Lessons come in four formats:
- Video lessons — host the recording employees watch.
- Document / PDF lessons — attach policies, slide decks or manuals.
- Article lessons — write rich-text content directly inside the platform.
- Quiz lessons — test understanding with scored questions.
Any lesson can be marked mandatory, so a course only counts as complete once the required lessons are done.
Quizzes that grade themselves
Quiz lessons hold multiple-choice questions, each worth a configurable number of points. Answers are auto-graded the moment an employee submits, the correct answers are never exposed to learners, and attempts are tracked. Every course has a passing score (%) that decides whether the learner passes — so "completed" actually means "understood", not just "clicked through".
Assign training — or let employees self-enroll
Two ways to get people into a course. HR and managers can assign a course to specific employees with a due date — ideal for mandatory compliance or onboarding training — and assignment respects role-based scoping (a manager assigns within their own team; HR across the company). Employees can also self-enroll from the catalog when learning is optional.
Track progress, lesson by lesson
Zaffre Axon tracks completion for every lesson and the best score for every quiz, rolling them up into an overall completion percentage and a final score per enrollment. HR can see, per course, exactly who is assigned, who is in progress, who has finished and who has passed — no spreadsheet reconciliation.
Issue certificates automatically
When an employee completes a course and meets the passing score, Zaffre Axon automatically issues a completion certificate with a unique certificate number, the score and the issue date. Employees find their certificates in a personal My Learning area, and HR has a verifiable record of who is certified on what.
